Guest guest
From Prashant.... " Vedanti says gold is mud a poet sings mud is gold " The approach of vedanti is nivrutti, where as poet approach is pravrutti. For a samnyasi I agree nivrutti approach is the best, but for householders like us, it becomes a wrong to adopt nivrutti nature, a bit of pravrutti is always needed. Any comments? sarvam vasudevamayam jagath Prashanth ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~response~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Itti ... Itti or neti.. neti...?? Gita says to see nivritti in pravritti and pravritti in nivritti is what is required..... jay
Guest guest
A scientist might say both (mud and gold ) are made of atoms. But does he believe that? Intellectually we can say thousands of things but unless we practice and convice ourself of the fact it is of no use. A spiritual seeker is one who not only knows intellectually but also belives in that and at all circumstances he sees it like that only. I doubt how many sceintists see like this. sarvam vasudevamayam jagath prashanth > Fri, 14 Dec 2001 15:49:18 +0530 > " Goel, Anurag (CORP, GEITC) " <anurag.goel > RE: itti... or neti.... > > > and a scientist says both ( mud and gold ) are made of atoms. > > > > >Vivekananda Centre [vivekananda] > >Monday, December 10, 2001 9:00 PM > >list; Self Knowledge List > >[sri Ramakrishna] itti... or neti.... > > > > > >From Prashant.... > > > > > > " Vedanti says gold is mud > > a poet sings mud is gold " > > Check out Shopping and Auctions for all of your unique holiday gifts!
