Dear Rachel

I will ask some of our list members to help you.

email to them...

My understanding about Hindu teachings

say that 'all life - including your own are

considered to be sacred' hence terminating life is not

to be advocated.

The only time a Hindu may not be prevented from taking his or

her own life would be if he merges in the Lord (or as we say

gains Self knowledge and realises his unity with the Lord

finding the body to be irrelevant. In that state of deep

meditation he may lose body-consciousness and never return

to the body).

regards
