Great thoughts friends - reg. christmas celebration (robin, samudra,

seshadri,) I think this is because as Swamiji says, religion is a part of

their(euro. & American's) requirement. But hindu way of life is completely

religious. That's why we see there is a clash in the culture. Also i feel

small text of Mr.Ananta's ( on swamiji's work) doesn't carry the Swamiji's

idea completely. I am of the opinion that Swamiji conveys his ideas through

one complete lecture but not in parts of it. If a small text has to be

quoted then Gurumaharaj's gosepl will be a good alternative.

Der Sumudra and Robin Hood,

You can't judge the spirit of Christmas by going to a pub, nor by one grouchy

individual. Try a Christmas Eve midnight service or Christmas day service, of

course in a Christian church. And if there's time today, open your ears to

hear from strangers everywhere, " Merry Christmas! " " Happy Holidays " These

greetings are full of love for fellow man, which was Christ's primary teaching,

though his name is not mentioned. We must stretch ourselves to understand what

we are not familiar with. Do try.

Yours in Vedanta, edith
