It is not one of the chakras mentioned in Kundalini Yoga. Instead it is the 'seat', if one may say so, where the universal self can be located in the human body. The location is about two finger-widths to the right of the solar plexus to the right. It is more intuitively identified this way. Everybody in the world irrespective of his religion or country points to this spot when he points to himself. Anyone who reads this mail can just stop for a moment and point to himself, saying I. He will automatically point to this spot and not the brain or any other spot, thus demonstrating the universality of the Hridayam or heart. I have read that that when one comes out of samadhi to consciousness of this world, the consciousness somehow seems to start with this spot. Maybe others who are well-read about Sri Ramana Maharshi can answer this question better. regards Swami _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
