Guest guest
hi, there is a small booklet called " Namma Devalayagalu " in kannada by Swami Harshanandaji maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math Bangalore. If literally translated it must mean " Our Temples " and i think english version is available whose title i do not know. It is very very informative and is a must for everyone who wants to know briefly about our temples. It not only discusses the concept, evolution, necessity of temples but also other soical and cultural aspects of it. I also suggest " Hinduism : in the form of questions and answers " and " Hindu Gods and Goddesses " two small books by the same author which are like ready reckners for all those who want to know in brief on those topics. regards Vikas > <vivekananda > Re: Help -temples > > > - > " Matt Gregory " <matt_gregory_2000 > <hindu > Monday, January 07, 2002 06:10 > Help > > > > i am doing a r.e. project on mandir's.
