We live, breathe, move around........I feel myself 'living'.......then is that a Maya too? Here's a quote that may be helpful: <<I have told you already of the seven planes of consciousness. On reaching the seventh plane the mind goes into samadhi. But in the Kaliyuga the life of a man depends of food. How can he have the consciousness that Brahman alone is real and the world illusory? In the Kaliyuga it is difficult to have the feeling, 'I am not the body; I am not the mind, I am not the 24 cosmic principles, I am beyond pleasure and pain, I am above disease and grief, old age and death.' However you may reason and argue, the feeling that the body is identical with the soul will somehow crop up from an unexpected quarter. One cannot get rid of the identification with the body, therefore the practice of Bhakti is best for the people of the Kaliyuga. It is an easy path.>> --Sri Ramakrishna That is, instead of trying the impossible--to convince your mind that your body and life are not real--pursue the path of devotion and ignore the nagging of the mind. However, if by temperament you can't help wanting to use your mind, maybe you should just continue and carefully observe and reason it out. Treat it like a Zen koan instead of a nagging problem. It might not be possible to realize the illusoriness of things in the ordinary mental state. Therefore one may need to meditate. I think if one follows one's natural inclination (devotion or knowledge) with sincerity and longing, one will not fail to get the answer one needs. _______ Get your free @ address at
