Guest guest
Dear Dev: I thought your answer to Jai Raam's question regarding Sri Ramakrishna's teaching on how to handle bullies was excellent. However, a concern was raised with your statement, " the slap of a mother is not violence . . . " Why should a mother EVER slap her own child? Also, isn't pain inflicted on another person (physical or emotional) always " violence " to the other person, regardless of what's in the perpetrator's heart? Last, is physical punishment for children as common in the Hindu nation of India, as it is in the Christian nation of America? God Bless, Brad
