Guest guest
Hello Mr Kathikeyan, What is the purpose of this math ? Kindly forgive me if these questions have hurt anyone. What in short have your learnt from being on this list. This list is a very very small extension of the philosophy propounded by Monks in the Maths. You seem to have a very biased opinion on monks and the order per se. I will just tell you my experience, Myself and my wife go to the San Francisco Math. The Swami in charge of the mission is so kind to us, he enquires on our spirtual progress and makes sure that everything is allright with us. His love is more than my mothers even though its just a few minutes every month that he talks with us. Such is the effect that pure souled men have on us. Any monk of the Ramakrishna Order who wears the saffron dress is worthy of great respect. I have had the same experience in Hyderabad also. The monks and swamis take great care in moulding our outlook towards life by constantly goading to follow this path. Where would we be if these maths ( dont call it mutt) were not there. Would it be left to you to exhort us to follow Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna's teachings. You cant do it. Because the power is vested on the saffron clad fierce renunciates of the Ramakrishna Order to teach and spread his message. Not being allowed into the math ? IS this a joke. Ramakrishna Math doesnt accept religion and caste as the dividing basis.. So tell me why you were not allowed into the math. Dont belittle the breadth and clairvoyance which the Ramakrishna Order has by making statements like this. The monks preserve the spirit of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna and this is done so that people can follow by example the life lead by a monk. Sri Ramakrishna said " The monk is a world teacher " By means of renunication and austerity he exhorts worldly people to realize that what they are holding to is indeed false and there are higher things in life. regds Vinay and Prashanti Try FREE Mail - the world's greatest free email! /
