Guest guest
Yeah, but who is opposing temple worship. Sri Ramakrishna was a temple and image worshipper himself. I for one, never tire of repeating and telling people that please learn to understand which advice applies to you and which does not. There is a context for every speech and every written word from Swamiji. If you believe that your path towards God is through temple worship then that is the right way for you. Swamiji has explained that in his speech at the World Parliament of Religions where he said that idol worship is a step on the journey to God for many, while some may not feel the need for it. According to Swamiji those who do not feel the need have no right of saying that idol worship ( and therefore temple worship) is wrong. If there is one distinction between Sri Ramakrishna Thakur / Swami Vivekananda and many other distinguished God realised souls, it is their recognition that the best path towards God is the one that appeals most to you. Then be it Japa, temple worship, Kirtan, Namaz, church worship, meditation, formless worship or worship with form. As Thakur said that if you are sincere God will show you the way.
