Guest guest
Namaste The writer of this email is dying from chronic lung disease and asthma attacks. His physical world is circumscribed by a 15 metre oxygen tube to which he is connected 24 hours a day. Several times a week he faces death with severe asthma attacks. At the age of 61 his heart will eventually give up the struggle. But while his physical world is severely limited, his spiritual world is infinity because of Advaita Vedanta, because everywhere he perceives the Divine, from the ants visiting him on the keyboard of this PC, to glimpses of the Creator in the garden outside the window. He does Japa alone, and seldom sees visitors, for they are busy with their lives, and that is how it should be. Physical infirmity either implodes the spirit and results in self-pity, or it gives one the golden opportunity to drown in that Love which is God, to marvel every second of the day at all creation, to savour every morsel of food, to give thanks and to be at Peace - and happy. Suffering is a gift - for those who recognise the Supreme Being giving it. Peace and Love be with you
