Guest guest
Dear Amit, I can understand where you are coming from. Getting angry at God is ok. We get angry at our parents. You have the right to get angry, doubt his love, allthose things. You know what, you won't be angry at Him if you did not believe in Him. Now would you? Nobody expects us to be perfect and get it right the first time. He certainly does not. He knows us too well. There is a book written by Viktor.Frankl, " Man's search for meaning " . He was a Jewish psychitrist in Austria, put in a concentration camp by the Germans. It is a small paperback It is not about religion.Read it.I think it will help you. Guest guest
Dear Amit You are obviously going thru a lot of suffering. But my friend I refuse to beleive that you have prayed to God and have received no help; either in the form of courage to tackle your life or a change in the situation in your life. Even Swami Vivekananada went to a state of utter despair due to his poor financial situation and family problems. He did not give up on life or God. He had a mighty guru like Sri Ramakrishna who by a mere wish could have wiped out all miseries but preferred that his beloved Narendra go thru the suffering. God 's ways are strange. It is not possible to understand the way he works. But take my word....just ask for help from any God who appeal to you out of the 33 crores you have mentioned. Pray in your natural simple language daily and as many times. If your situation does not change in a month just I will be surprised. If you believe in Lord Siva just listen to or recite the Siva Mahimnah Stotra or of you believe In Lord Hanuman recite the Hanuman Chalisa. It is my challenge that you will be out of your problems in no time. Pranams Dev Sports - live college hoops coverage
Guest guest
dear friend, i just read ur mail & i am completly convinced with u getting such thoughts.it is up to u to beleive or not; in the same way it is up to u to live in hell or not. probably simple law of problem states us that there r only two solutions:suffer or solve;no need to pray any god for help, for they r not waiting for ur prayers.it is ur confidence that will do. i am very much surprised with ur views that u r living in hell & would even ...;one of our member once sent the following message.if u have patietence u pls go thru it & know for urself how lucky u are. in any way if i hurt u,pls excuse me. urs kiran. This came from a college professor in New York State. Some of it you've heard before, but much perhaps not. Be grateful, all! If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following. There would be: 57 Asians 21 Europeans 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south 8 would be Africans 52 would be female 48 would be male 70 would be non-white 30 would be white 70 would be non-Christian 30 would be Christian 89 would be heterosexual 11 would be homosexual 6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and - all 6 would be from the United States. 80 would live in substandard housing 70 would be unable to read 50 would suffer from malnutrition 1 would be near death 1 would be near birth 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education 1 would own a computer When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for both acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent. And, therefore . . . If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep ... you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death ... you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare, even in the United States. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful... you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them, or even touch them on the shoulder ...you are blessed because you can offer healing touch. If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all. Have a good day and count your blessings. " EDTipple " <edtipple </ym/Compose? om sri gurubhyom namah. --- Anup Lahiry <lahirya wrote: > Dear Amit, I can understand where you are coming from. Guest guest
If I may be permitted to share a quote that I find helpful: " To take birth means to suffer. When suffering leads to real eternal happiness, we should not attach importance to this suffering. It is to eliminate suffering that suffering has to be. Most of this suffering is unnecessary and self-inflicted. Ninety-nine percent of the world's suffering is self-inflicted. Yet they ask, 'Why must we suffer?' Great suffering means great liberation. Guest guest
Hullo Amit, Understandably you are having some grave problems; but if you look around, you will find we all have our own little hell like existences. The point is we must never lose faith in HIM the Supreme being. For only He can see us thru this vast journey of life, with all its ups and downs. Some 'nam-jap' and quiet meditation may help. Also writings of great masters like Paramhansa Yogananda, Ramakrishma Pramhansa and others will surely help. Keep the faith and dont let go. G ===== Life is the Almighty's gift. Guest guest
Pranams to you Shashi !!! Your vividly descriptive letter was very touching. There are some people like you to whom simple incidents of life become pointers to the help and existence of God. There are others who are blind to the existence of God and will not acknowledge him even if he physically stands in front of them. It is all the will and play of God. Wish you success and happiness Dev Movies - coverage of the 74th Academy Awards®
