Swami Vivekananda wrote in a letter:-

CHICAGO,

2nd November,

1893

'Men from all nations were there. From India were Mazoomdar of the Brâhmo

Samâj, and Nagarkar of Bombay, Mr. Gandhi representing the Jains, and Mr.

Chakravarti representing Theosophy with Mrs. Annie Besant. '

Was this Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi? Or someone of the Mahatma's family?

This was not likely as during that time Mohandas Gandhi was in South

Africa. Gandhi is a common title in India. Moreover Gandhiji never

visited US.
