Guest guest
Dear Amit I have read your email and felt sad. I pray to Sri Ramakrishna to protect you all the time. I wanted to share one of my experience. Hope this helps you. Around 1 and 1/2 years back we went to India for vacation. (We are living in Nashville, TN). We went to my in-laws place name Pithapuram which is a small town in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. ( I need to tell about these places name as this incident is related to these places. ) We spend some days there and one of my cousin who is living in a small town named Ravulapalem near by to my in-laws place invited me and we 3 ( me, my husband and my 4 year old son) decided to go there and visit them and return back the same day. As planned we left early in the morning and we took a bus and went to Ravulapalem. We spend that day very nicely with my cousins family . It became dark by the time we left. Somehow we wanted to reach back to Pithapuram same night. So we took again bus around 9 PM night and it took almost more than 3 hours to reach pithapuram. The bus was heavily crowded and there was no place for us to sit so we went extreme back as there are 2 seats. We adjusted and it is a matter of 3 hours we thought it is ok. But side to me one fellow came at one stop and he started behaving badly ( this is a very common problem in India for ladies and girls ) and i told to my husband and we exchanged our seats but i lost my mental peace. I started praying to Sri Ramakrishna desperately to protect us from any bad things. Somehow 3 hours passed and bus reached Pithapuram. But the crowd is so huge in bus, we couldn't come to the door which is at front and we are seated at extreme back. By the time we pushed ourselves to the door , the bus started again. And we requested them to stop but they refused and they told they will stop in another bus stop which is far away from town. Finally we get down in that bus stop which is far away from town. Generally, auto rikshwas and rikshwas will be available but that day as it is mid night almost 1 am night no one are there . We stood there for some time but in vain. Just near to us there is one small group of people who are completely drunken and started arguing very loudly and slowly it turned into abusing and fighting. We were so scared and my husband told let us walk now. As it is not preferrable to stand there midnight near to those drunkards. But the town is very far away but there is no option for us left. Something may happen to us for matter of Rs.20 also and especially when ladies are there the situation will become more and more dangerous. I am desperately praying to Sri Ramakrishna to help us and let us reach home safely. My husband started walking with a bag in one hand , our kid in another hand and back me. We 3 started walking very fastly. Meanwhile those drunkards started fighting in themselves. It is so scary we are literally running praying desperately. After 30 minutes, then we reached a small shop with light. Hope entered us as we saw some more people that night. There only one rikshaw fellow is there and we asked him is he ready to take us to our home in town. That fellow immediately agreed and we 3 sat in that rikshaw and finally we reached home by 2 am. Sri Ramakrishna is helping us all the way. He only made that rikshaw fellow to drop us. We reached without any harm. Yesterday night when i am praying, i suddenly remembered this incident and my heart filled with joy and love towards the Master as we felt His presence there. It is He who helped us that night and kept on helping us in different ways in different periods of life when we desperately called Him. This is one incident , but there are many times in my life i felt the great presence of Master helping me , protecting me, listening me. I bow deeply to my great master Sri Ramakrishna. shashi.
