Guest guest
Series of two talks at: Swaminarayan Temple, Willesden Lane, London NW2 Saturday 6th April 6 to 7 pm and Sunday 7th April 5 to 6 pm I have been asked to give two talks on Hinduism to a total of about 400 youngsters of the Swaminarayan movement. This is an interesting new development. I have been able to cut across the sectarian divide and set up classes in Hinduism at many locations. But these classes are strictly for a small group of youngsters studying for and sitting for examinations in Hinduism. This development is very different. For the first time this movement is allowing me access to their youth group. They have also indicated that they will allow me to address their whole adult congregation in a short while. May this bridge-building produce beneficial results.. jay Vivekananda Centre London
Guest guest
Namaste Jay, We all wish you continued success in your service to Thakurji and Swamiji. Every one of us can also follow in your foot- steps in this service, for as Sister Nivedita wrote in the magnificent Introduction to Swamiji's Complete Works on July 4, 1907: " ....What Hinduism had needed, was the organising and consolidating of its own idea. What the world had needed was a faith that had no fear of truth. Both these are found here..... " ....For India herself, the short address (at the Parliament of of Religions, 1893) froms as has been said, a brief Charter of Enfranchisement..... " May we all continue to be inspired to action by his burning words! Best regards, Sunder Ramakrishna, " Vivekananda Centre " <vivekananda@b...> wrote: > Series of two talks at: > Swaminarayan Temple, Willesden Lane, London NW2 > Saturday 6th April 6 to 7 pm and Sunday 7th April 5 to 6 pm > > I have been asked to give two talks on Hinduism to a total of > about 400 youngsters of the Swaminarayan movement. > This is an interesting new development. > > May this bridge-building produce beneficial results.. > > jay > Vivekananda Centre London
