Ishwar Devi Gupta Dear Friends, We are extremely sorry to inform you that Smt. Ishwar Devi Gupta, President of Sri Ma Trust, entered Mahasamadhi on Buddha Purnima Sunday, 26 May, 2002. The kirya ceremony would be performed on Friday, 7 June at 5.30 p.m. and bhandara on Thursday, 20 June at 5 p.m. at Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita Peeth. You are all requested to join us in the prayers at the feet of Thakur and Ma on this occasion! Smt. Ishwar Devi Gupta led an ideal life of a householder-sannyasi like Sri M., and continued the flame of Sri M. for more than 40 years. It was she who brought out Sri M. to public by getting printed Sri Ma Darshan in Bengali, that was written by Swami Nityatmananda. Add to it, her translation of 5 volumes of the Kathamrita into Hindi and 16 volumes of Sri Ma Darshan into Hindi (from Bengali) has been immense contribution for the mankind. Hundreds of householders and sannyasins are indebted to her for her personal mentoring through her spiritual wisdom in their day-to-day life.
