Guest guest
Since every being, including oneself, is an aspect of the divine, it is perhaps ok to ask favors for oneself. While income from a job initially comes to one individual, when this person spends the money, others who provide goods or services are also benefitted. I read in the Bhagavad Gita that when we pray, we shouldn't ask for anything; yet, many pujas that people do are for the sake of getting something, whether it's marriage, a job, good health, something material, etc. Did I not read the Gita correctly? I can't remember if I already posed this question to this group; if I did, I apologize for the redundancy. Thanks! --Radhika Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
Guest guest
Hi Udaya, What you say makes sense to an extent because most people, whey they pray for wealth, it usually is not for the purpose of redistributing it to the public, but for their own material benefits and feelings of financial security. I don't know..this is a question that I've always wondered about. Thanks for your comments! You too, ACS! --Radhi --- udyrao wrote: > Since every being, including oneself, is an aspect > of the divine, it is perhaps ok to ask favors for > oneself.
