Guest guest
Dhanurmasa Puja Tiruppavai is chanted in Dhanurmasam. Dhanurmasa Puja starts from 8.45 a.m IST 16th December as per Vaikhanasa Vaishnava Sampradyam. TThe Authority of Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Srinagar Colony celebrates Dhanurmasa Puja in most religious way. Early in the morning at 4.30 Archaka Swamis begin the worship with Archana to Lord Venkateswara, Goddess Ranganayaki, Goddess Lakshmi. Then at 5 a.m Archaka Swamis chant Tiruppavai. You may observe the star marking in Text of Tiruppavaai such content is read again. Entire Tiruppavai is read once and chant that day's paasuram again, offering harathi. There are 30 paasurams. In addition to this `chanting Archana' is left to your convenience. At the time of offering Naivedyam some songs are rendered by the bhaktas which are presented in printer friendly pages under the title Dhanumasa puja.. At the end they offer Prasadams like Ven Pongal, Chekra Pongali, Dadhyojanam( Curd Rice) Puli Hodara (Tamarind Rice),Satalinchina Sengalu and fruits etc. to all Bhaktas. On 27 th Paasuram Chekra Pongali offered as Naivedyam. We have consulted Archaka Swamis regarding the puja vidhanam..
