Venkatesa samo devo na bhootho na bhavishyathi

 

Thre is no place equal to VENKATADRI

in this universe and no GOD equal to LORD SRI VENKTESWRA existed

neither earlier nor now and never in the future too.you call him by

any name….srinivasa…sri venkateswara….balaji…venkataramana….govinda…

edukondalavada…apadamokkulavada…any name…he will answer your prayers…

instantly…wherever you are in this universe….only sincerity is

important…you do not have to be rich…neither educated…neither a

scholar…neither a learned man…nothing…you can be any

one….irrespective of your caste or position…just call him…pray him

with sincere bhakthi…HE will answer your prayers instantly….this has

been the experience of millions of people from time

immemorial….yes,time immemoriaial…for no one knows when LORD

SRINIVASA came to this earth…this bhooloka…

 

As annamayya said all deities are nothing but

LORD SRI VENKTESWARA HIMSELF….and all mantras are his names

themselves…in telugu it goes like this...hari namamule anni

mantramulu....hari avatharamule anni devathalu...... devotees have

been experiencing miracles….someone gets cured of a dreaded decease…

someone gets job…someone gets married…somegets his long awated

transfer to his native place…just have faith…and absolute faith…he

will take care of the rest…..

 

dear sir,as you are aware many

of us go to thirumala to have lord's darshan...but few of us know

why this place is powerful...why we forget everything while on the

sared hill...our miseries...our problems...our wants...we forget

everything...we go to LORD with a list of requests...but on seeing

HIS MAGINIFICIENT MURTHI we forget everything...we forget all our

demands...all our requests vanish from our mind...the supreme GRACE

OF LORD envelopes us....we forget whole world....it could be just

few seconds...but that is enough...enough to get charged for several

years...

so what is the power?...since when LORD

is on thirumala.....by poorva janma punyam and HIS GRACE HIS i

could write two books on sri swamy varu ,sri srivasa mahatmyam and

sri venkateswara vratha kalpam....both in telugu....i was only

holding the pen and it is HE who wrote them... what can i give in

return except serving HIS devotees...serving HIS DEVOTEES is serving

HIM itself!.... ..BY HIS grace i got a thought of writing a series

of articles on thirumala....one every fortnight or so...it is my

poorva janma punyam that i am writing these few stories...kindly go

through them.......

VENKATADRI

A sacred hill of thousand names

 

 

venkatadri…anjanadri…vrishabhadri…vrishadri…jnanadri…seshadri…

kanakadri..sacred thirumala is called by so many names…like

srinivasa whom devotees call with thousands of names thirumala is

too is called by many names…each has got it's own story..own

significance..own sacredness…thirumala is nothing but bhooloka

vaikuntham…adisesha himself came to bhooloka in the form of

seshadri..that's why it is called as seshadri…thirumala is the most

sacred place in this univerese…we need punya of many janmas to put

our feet on thirumala…each stone on thirumla hills is a

saligrama..lord sri mahavishnu's swaroop..everytime we go to the

hill we should rememember the fact that we are walking on the most

sacred place in this universe…you could be putting your leg on the

same stone on which perhaps LORD HIMSELF walked…yes,indeed lord

walks everyday on those hills in different forms…in the form of a

bird or an animal or an insect…or like an ordinary devotee…it could

be that the unknown devotee walking along with you or behind you is

LORD SRINIVASA himself…devotees from the time immemorial have been

experiencing this fact…many of them are helped by some unknown

devotee..who just helps them and disappears in few minutes….LORD

SRIVENKATESWARA HIMSELF moves around on the hills…HE is very happy

to see all of us…

it is clarely stated in puranas that srinivasa along with

sridevi and bhoodevi loves to roam around the various places in thirumala…many

saints like veddavyas,suka,agastya,viswamitra etc.walked on this hill years ago…

they still walk in different forms…they listen to devotees discussions mingling

with us as ordinary devotees…INDRA,VARUNA,YAMA,AGNI,VAYU,KUBERA,ESWARA AND

NIRUTHI…all these ashta dikpalakas move around these sacred hills everyday in

divya roop…all navagrahas too move around alike… the sacred hill is known as

venkadari because it destroys all our sins..it came to be known as vrishabhadri

because once in krithayuaga a rakshasa by name vrishhbha lived on this hill..as

he was troubling saints lord kills him…vrishabha reqests sri swamy that this

hill should be known afrer his name…since then it is called vrishabhadri….it is

known as kanakadri because it is golden hill…all the rock is nothing but gold

itself….as we are ordinary mortals we are unable see it in the form of gold…it

is also called as narayanadri because a Brahmin by name narayana has done tapas

on this sacred hill to get lord's blessings…

 

it is called seshadri because it is adisesha

himself….it is said srisailam,the famous hill shrine of lord siva is

at the tail of adisesha and ahobila,the shrine of lord narasimha is

the middle of adisesha and thirumala is nothing but adisesha's head

itself….it is for this reason devotees are not supposed to wear

sandals while going up the hill or walking on the hill…many devotees

do not use any form of foot wear as long as they are on this sacred

hill…sri ramunaja,the great vishnavite acharya climbs the hill on

knees when he was around 90!….remember, in those days thirumala was

a dense forest with wild animals…there was no proper walking path…no

proper steps,,,devotees used to wade through thick forest chanting

govinda namam…for they knew that govinda would definitely take care

of them….as long as we chant the supreme creators name no animal can

harm us…after all they too are his creation…isn't it?….as we know

excellent steps are provided now to climb the hill on foot…so we

should remember that we should not wear sandals while on the

hill..wering footwear on adisesha!…no…we should not do so…and the

power of the hills flows to you only when you are bare-footed…you

will not experience it if you move around with sandals…

 

venatadri has many.many more

names....it is the most sacred place in this universe where LORD

SRIMANNARAYANA HIMSELF is giving darsan to all his

devotees...so,when you visit sacred thirumala next time,walk without

any footwear ...and you will see the difference.....

 

sriyah kanthaya kalyana nidhaye nidhayerthinaam

srivenkata nivasaya srinivasaya mangalam
