This is a real life story of Mr. Venkat. He was working as a

Commerce lecturer in a small town in coastal districts of Andhra

Pradesh. He is a hard worker and a self made man. With his hard

earnings he acquired a small piece of land. He wanted to construct a

small dream house in his land. He purchased Mild steel rods worth 2

Lakhs and kept in one corner of the land. His relative came there

and cautioned him that the steel rods were kept in North East corner

and it was very bad as per Vastu.

So Mr. Venkat immediately hired people and moved the rods to the

open side of the plot as per Vastu. Next morning when he came to the

plot, tears rolled down cheeks. All rods were shoplifted stealthily

by somebody.

People simply follow astrologer's words, believe in Astami, Navami

and Chaturdasi etc., they pray God and observe fasting in select

Thithis. But they are unable to perceive God in their own self as

per the Vedic dictum.

We are giving too much of importance to Vastu, Thithis and other

such rituals. We are basically forgetting the truth that God is

within us. Once we realise this. All other things are petty and not

worth considering.

dear vishnuji,

i read the nice message. personally i also do believe that god is

within us and is always there to help us provided you have the belief.

simply going to temples and doing pujas may not help. best thing is to

do whateve we can to the society and never think of evil. all the days

were created by god only and as such nothing can be bad. it depends on

how one thinks.

thank you - dr.murty

Dear Brother Vishnu Garu and other Fellow-Travellers

in the Group,

Love and Love alone....

Of all the stories that you have posted so far, let me

confess, this one has appealed to me the most. It does

not mean that I did not like the others, but it is an

outstanding piece, an eye-opener and an awakening

call, to most of us, who have a wavering approach in

their approach. At least now, we should see how we

are, what we are and where we are heading?

I have seen, with pain and anguish, demolishing big

buildings indiscriminately as they were not

constructed according to Vasthu Sastra. When there are

millions and millions of people in the society dying

due to starvation, lack of medical facilities,

shelter, etc., a few of us are induliging in these

luxuries. Sad. One may argue, are we not giving

emplyment to a few by demolishing and rebuilding

according to Vastu. True, but think of those millions

who do not have anything at all. Dont' we feel pained

to see little children almost naked begging at

temples, railway stations, bus-stops, intersections of

traffic lights, etc., or don't we see our parents in

those old people who, at the age of 70 or 80, begging

for a few rupees to fill their stomach? I am sorry, I

do not mean to denounce Vastu or other thithi,

nakshatras, etc. It is undoubtedly a great science,

but how many of us are really adept in that? We go

blindly after them, thinking that some untoward may

happen to us if we do not follow. The biggest enemy of

humanity is fear and especailly fear of God. God is

Love. Love HIM for the sake of Love only. Who created

these thithis, nakshatras, grahas, etc.? Have they not

been created by the same Lord, who created us? If so,

why we are forgetting the Source and giving more

importance to them, His creation?!. If we steadfastly

and sincerely surrender to HIM, with Tyaga budhdhi, I

am sure, nothing bad will happen to us at any point of

time. Even if it happens, let us understand the fact

that it is four our own good, it is a lesson to be

learnt to outgrow from the present condition. It is to

break-open those fetters, which are binding us so far.

It is to reach higher levels of consciousness. I am

very sure and confident of that. Complete surrender is

the only solution for any problem. Problem is not a

problem or remain as a problem, unless we give

importance or credence or support to it. Problem is

there because we give strength to it by attaching

ourselves to the problem. Let us realise this truth.

The soon we realise, the better for us. Again, it does

not mean that, we should not try to our day-to-day

family problems. What I mean is that while trying to

solve those problems, do not attach yourself to it, do

not expect the result as you want to, do it with

" Tyaga bhaava " . If it gets solved as you desire, it is

HIS kripa or karuna and if not, it is HIS decision,

for our good.

My only request to all my brothers and sisters is that

have complete faith in HIM/HER, surrender to that

Source completely, while discharging your dharma and

not attaching yourself with the result (i.e., Tyaga),

and I am sure, we will reach the Ultimate. I am very

confident.

What else can I write?

Love and Love alone ....
