Guest guest
No one has seen Isvara. An individual who is present before us in person, who is all the time pure of heart and mind, who possesses jnana and is blameless, an individual whose mind is not fickle- if we are fortunate to have such a person for a guru, he will give us the same peace of mind and happiness that we otherwise seek from Isvara. when we chant 'Gurur-Brahma Gurur-Vishnuh Gurur-devo Mahesvarah' we may notice that no distinction is made between the Guru and Isvara.
