Guest guest
Dear all, Though I did not read the original message to which KRISHNA KUMARI GARU added her views, I too felt adding some more information reg Hinduism and its name. Originally it is called Sanathana Dharma having (Veda Matham) no fixed / historical age like the Vedas. It was undoubtedly a way of life without giving any name of religion. In those days the division of mankind was either based on good or bad though not theists or atheists. These things are very clear as seen from any of the episodes of any yoga or epic like Mahabharatam, Ramayana where in the good people or Theists winning at the end. In essence good will win over the evil sooner or latter. This basic facts were inculcated in the society and used to keep the society in harmony and peace. It was compared to a open territory without any boundary as their was no threat of intruders / trespassers. As the ages passed things changed, new beliefs (religions) like Christianity, Islam, Zoroastrianism have started entering into this land of ours and started establishing and these were like occupying this open territory with their respective boundaries with due names. At that time, the unoccupied territory was forced to be named somehow in the interest of the sons of soil then. That was the time, the name of Hinduism had to be given for protecting the identity of those sons of soil. However self protecting nature of this great old dharma is still exhibiting inspite of hardly any propagating efforts of any individual or organisation. Are we right if we assume this will be the same in future, especially in such present circumstances ?
