Guest guest
A baby is more fascinated to mother's lullaby than the milk. A boy is more fascinated to father's sweet words than his sweets. A disciple(Sishya) is more fascinated to Teacher's (Guru's) ideals than his words. But for a devotee (Bhaktha) it will be more sweet if he/she follows Divine words rather than conveniently ignoring and postponing to later stage of life. Until balya dasa (boyhood stage) one observes, learn and practice but when one is grown up he/she observes, delays, desire wrong things for temporary pleasure and finally loose the precious and bright part of life. i.e., 20 to 45 years. To obey Divine command or follow Sadguru's (Atma Jnanai's) words be always in the company of good people, good books, small kids, people with unflinching devotion; but NOT in the bad company of any kind. Dharma in English is Righteous action -- Truly it is a good translation -- It is Righteous Karma - nothing but Sath Karma. Sath Karma is nothing but Dharma. Sathyam nasthi paro Dharmaha. There is no Dharma beyond Truth; no greater sin beyond falsehood. Lord Rama Practiced this. ‘Ramo Vigrahavaan Dharamaha’ †" Rama is the embodiment of Dharma. He has established Dharma which is valid at all the three times. He led an exemplary life by acting righteously at every stage: (1) Obeying his parents; (2) Fulfilling the orders of Guru Vasishta and Viswamithra; (3) Punishing the evil-minded people (Rakshasas) in a universally accepted way; (4) Cherishing true friendship with Sugreeva; (5) Accepting the surrender of Vibheeshana graciously from the enemy’s side; and finally, (6) On return to Ayodhya, ruling the kingdom righteously (Sathya Palana). Although Sathya Harishchandra is respected for his steadfastness in following Truth (through Danam †" charity), only Rama is being worshiped. Rama practised Sath-Karma by sacrificing (through Thyagam) at every stage. Sathya Palana and Dharma Rakshana was what Rama did and Sathya Adharana/Acharana was what Harishchandra did. Adhere to Sathya Palana and Dharma Rakshana. When the mind and the intellect adhere to Dharma (Sath Karma), the dhrushti (view) of the individual is purified. Then every action will lead to truthfulness in the kingdom of God. Every action becomes selfless with pure devotion to God. This elevates the individual into Karma Rahithyam (freedom from cyclic-karmic-bondage) and in turn the soul attains Janma Rahithyam (Immortality). P.
