Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA, JAI SRIMANNARAYANA. JAI SRIMANNARAYANA. My Younger Brother, told this story once. It is worth remembering life time. I just give you the gist of the story for the benefit of our Telugubhakti Group. Once there was woman begging for alms near a temple. One day,she thought, " all along my life, I was begging, when I will get Moksha, if not in this Janma, I should get it another Janma. Thinking, so, She approached a Sage and explained her intention. The Sage pleased with her intention, gave her a mantra " Mama Sira Tava Padayena Dharaya " ..... (Something like that) which means, that " O Swami, I place my head before your pious feet, please accept my Pranams. " The Sage went away after giving her the mantra. The old woman started reciting the mantra. years passed by. The sage again come to the temple, where he saw the old woman and enquired her whether she is reciting the Mantra. With all joy, she prostrated before the Sage, whom she took as Guru, and nodded in reply. He asked her to recite the Mantra. She did. The Sage was aghast and told her she was doing it in a wrong way. She unintentionally changed the Tava and Mama, from their places. The Sage angrily told her the fact, that she changed the Mantra, which now means " O Swami, I place my feet on your head, please accpt my Pranams " . The sage started moving and the old woman was weeping and told the sage that she was doing the same for the last so many years since he gave the mantra. The sage told her it is all " useless " and commnded her to start again. He left for his nearby Ashram. Now the old woman started weeping inconsolably day in and day out. Two days passed out. Thrid day night, the God appeared in the Sage dreams. The Almighty said, " O! Sage ! go to the old woman, she is not eating and drinking for the last 3 days. Many Devotees are offering me Naivedya, but since she is on fast, with Aarti, I am not satisfied with all the Naivedyam I got for the last three days. It is the Shraddha and Bhakti, I care for and not for SPELLING MISTAKES, She is reciting the Mantra for the last so many years with so much of Shraddha and Bhakti, I am pleased with her total dedication. Does not matter, she put her feet on my head, since nobody knows where is my feet and head. So go to her and see that she breaks her fast so that my Tapam is gone. " saying that God disappeared from the sage dreams. The sage ran to the old woman, fell at the feet of the old woman and said " O! Mata, The God likes your Prayer. He wants you to eat something. He totally accepted your prayers. Please forgive me for my Agnanam. " The sage is a realised soul then onwards. Many of us recite many sloks and strotras, without really knowing the meaning. Does not matter. If you know the meaning it is better. If you recite the Mantra correctly., it is still better. But never be away from mantra, for the fear, that you do not know the meaning, or correct pronunciation,., etc., etc., But continue the prayer, as little as you can, daily, with Shraddha and Bhakti, remaining things He will look after. Once He Takes your hand , remember He will not leave it until you become Him. JAI SRIMANNARAYANA. JAI SRIMANNARAYANA.
