Guest guest
Dear friends: Penitence is one way of getting a sin absolved. It also implies making amends for the damage of one's own personality. The question posed by a friendly thinkinf man is particularly relevant in the context of the erosion of basic values whatever may be the complexity of reasonw. I for one would suggest taking a practical step forward by caring for the old and the destitue around you. There are many, many, suffering loners. Witin your capacity help them in a most unobtrusive, unostentatious way. For example, if a destitute decripirt one finds a muffler, sweater or a ruug which they call kambal here in the north how grateful would the person be! There are little unremembered acts of kindness whichg ive the sin- ridden conscience a little relief. To turn the searchlight inward and try to reform one's self is practical wisdom. Money alone is not verything: a little sympathy, a little kindness and volunteering help with a mile could be a good beginning.
