Guest guest
Malhana was a sanskrit poet. he was a SIVSBHKTA. His father Suvarnabhattaraka was passsed away duly giving unlimitted wealth. Malhana is now free bird and acquinted with a dancing girl named PUSHPAGANDHI. Malhana changed her name as MALHANI and give away his entire wealth to her. After becomming poor, Malhani's mother kicked him out and not permitted him even to see his beloved Malhani. So he became annoyed and spending all his time in the doorsteps of Malhanii On one SIVARATRI day Malhani wishes to go the Siva Temple. On her way to sivatemple she found her beloved Malhana and she was very much worried about his present state. She requested him to divert his mind on Lord Siva. Malhana replied that he can't pray Lord Siva as his his mind is fully filled with Malhani only. at last they reached Siva temple. with an intention to change the mind of her beloved Malhani stand behind the Sivalingam and removed all her clothes and asked Malhana to make Stotra either on Lord Siva or on her. Malhana inner vision opend by the action of Malhani and he rendered a beautiful stotra on Lord Siva in Vasanta tilaka vrutta which became famous as MALHANA STOTRA. This stotra contains SRINGARA and BHAKTI and this stotra is very effective in giving her readers NIRMALA BHAKTI.A stanga in that stotra is as followes.DIVOWSHADI RASA RASAYANA DHATU VADAHA YOGA VASEEKARANA GARUDA KHASYA VADAHA PATALA KHADGA GHUTIKANJA SIDDHI VADAHA SIDHYANTI TASYA SIVA YASYA BHAVAN PRASANNAHA Subham bhooyat drgsssastry
