Guest guest
Srimaatrenamaha 'Asita girisamam syaat kajjalam sindhu paatre surataru varasaakhaa lekhinee patramurvee likhati yadi gruheetwaa saaradaa saarvakaalam tadapi tawa gunaana meesa paaram nayaati' The qualities of Bhagawaan Sadaasiva are endless. Even the Goddess Vaagdevi begins to write down the qualities of Sadasiva, and even she was equpped with a pen of 'Kalpavrukha saakaha', with an ink bottle of a sea, with ink which is equal to 'Asitagiri', and a paper as long as the earth, Her work shall not be compleated even after a long time. The meaning of the above sloka was created 'Bhavasamaadhi' in Bhagawaan Sri Ramakrishna paramahamsa. The above 'sloka' is from 'Sivamahimna stotram' written by Gandharwaraja Pushpadanta who belongs to 2500 years B.C. He was a king of gandharwa a sect of Gods. He was a worshipper of Bhagawaan SADASIVA. Not satisfing with the flowers and leafs of Bilwapatras etc. which are availiable in his garden for his Sivaarchana, he devoleped a habbit of theft of the above from a garden of a king on earth, who was also a Sivabhakta. The king tried to catch the thief but failed. After consultation with his council the king scattared the 'Siva nirmaalya' at the entrance of of his garden which can eliminate special powers like disappearance of gandharwa etc. Pushpadanta not known the above, came as usual and stand on the 'Siva Nirmalaya'. As a result he lost all his divine powers and became visuable . The police of the king arrested him and kept him in jail. Then Pushpadanta prayed Sadasiva with his 'Sivamahimna stotra'.The merciful God Sadaasiva pleased with this stotram and released Pushpadanta from jail, and blessed him with all powers he lost. This stotra is also having equl value of VEDAAS, snd it shall be used as 'ADHISRAVANAM' (rendering veda at the time of special occations). 'Trayee saankhyam yogaha pasupatimatam visnavamiti prabhinne prasthaaane paramidamadaha pathyamitacha ruchheenaam vaichitryaat rujukutila naanaapathajushaam nrunaa mekogamyahas twamasi payasaa marnava iva.' O! Sadasiva ! All rivers reaches the sea at the end of thier journey. Like wise several devotees by their taste may select several ways like vedamaraga, saanklhyamaarga, yoga, Kaapaalika maarga and vishnavisam etc. but all of them reaches you at the end of their journey in phisophical path as you are only goal to all. This sloka was quoted by Swamy Vivekananda in the Viswadharma sammealan held in Newyork with an intension to eliminate the hatridisom in between the religions which was appreciated by severall members of that sammealan.
