Guest guest
Dear Bharata Mata Children of TBP, Love and Love alone... We are totally indebted to our parents, particularly our mother. Mother was always there to take care of us and protect us. God will not respect those who don't respect their parents. By obeying our parents, we can become free of I-ness, Mine-ness and attain eternal peace. If you are a son, be a good son. If you are a daughter, be a good daughter. Serve your mother to your heart's content. Do not expect anything from her, except her blessings always to be able to serve her. One can never repay the debt due to parents, even by serving them. Whatever struggles they have undergone to bring us up, we can never pay it back, in spite of doing any kind of service to them. We are totally indebted to our parents. The only way to repay, if we can -- I do not think so, but still -- the debt we owe to them, is to keep them happy always. By making them happy, we are serving the Universal Parent-hood and in other words, we are serving the Creator Himself or Herself. The amount of difficult a mother has undergone to bring her children up, the children can never serve the mother to that extent to repay the debt. However, educated and intelligent we may be, in childhood we did not know how to sit, but our mother taught us everything. She taught us how to crawl, how to sit, how to stand, how to walk, how to wash, how to eat and everything in life by holding on to our finger. She spoon-fed us and gradually taught us how to eat. Mother always protected us, whatever we have done as children. Sometimes, men take over by their arrogance and casually say, so what is the great deal? The reply is very simple -- try to keep a child for two days in your lap and see for yourself. It is because of mother's love and strength (matru sakthi) that we have all been taken care of as children and now we are, what we are. Therefore, we should serve our parents, whatever our present position, or status, or job might be. Those who don't understand this, we should pray for them so that they realise the value of respecting the elders and especially parents. If one does not respect parents, one cannot appreciate the presence of God and God will not be happy at all who neglects their parents. If so, God or Self realisation is impossible. So, by making our parents happy, we will become free from I-ness, (i.e., reach ego-less state) and mine-ness (detachment) and ultimately attain Eternal Peace Hari Om Santhihi. Love and Love alone...
