Guest guest
Dear Prasad Garu and all other Members of TBP, Love and Love alone... Here is one more answer straight from the Horse's mouth. I need not add or delete anything from it. I hope it should answer your question in its totality. Love and Love alone.... P. Gopi Krishna. Is World the Cause of Pain and Sorrow? The world does not cause pain to anyone. It is the assumed, the acknowledged link with the world that inflicts pain. Man does not have the freedom of choice in the situations and circumstances that come his way. Nor is he free in eliminating or avoiding these situations and circumstances. He is free to choose between being happy or unhappy in the situations and circumstances that come his way. He is also free to choose in not indulging in enjoyments. This choice of being happy and unhappy is entirely upto man. Man is free, capable and empowered in making these choices. Just as thirst and longing for water makes a person miserable, though the water itself if not the cause of the misery. Similarly the attachment to the world with the expectation of gaining happiness is the cause of misery, while the world by itself is not the cause of misery and unhappiness. He who does not establish a relationship with someone for the sake of seeking happiness, lives and dies happy. Those who establish a relationship with others with the intent of seeking something, they remain unhappy while alive and at the same time they also die being unhappy. A sufferer of pain can become happy in the future, but one who is the cause of pain, a giver of pain, can never be happy. Passion, anger, fear, love, joy, sorrow, and compassion - these seven sensations influence our mind and melt it. Desires satiated in the past, though non-existent in the present, are like melted wax, blended in and manifest with the right triggers or timing. In truth, the past is no more in existence. Why let the non-existent cause melting, pain or fear? The key point to remember is that all of these situations and experiences are not in the present. That is the absolute sure thing. From " Drops of Nectar " by Swami Ramsukhdasji in English pg. 80 Need a suggestion from our group Posted by: " prasad.sivapuram " prasad.sivapuram Fri Feb 16, 2007 7:26 am (PST) Hello Members, I am the member of this group and learning lot of things from the mails disturbed to all with this medium. I have one problem and would like to mitigate it before it bursts and damage my life. In brief the problem is control of my mind. To explain the above problem, I am getting disturbed by so many thoughts and feelings when ever I have free time. Means I need to be engaged in any work, which is also not good every time. Every time I feel that GOD is not looking at me or testing me or I might have done some mistakes. just to give a example, if I get a small heated discussion with my wife then I start thinking of all the bad happenings to my life starting from the childhood to till day and felt very bad to express that feelings go beyond the existence. There is no limit to the subject on which I get the feelings be it a project work, company, colleagues, family, friends, relatives, others etc? Hope you understand my problem. If not please let me know your doubts if any. What I am looking for a possible solution which can mitigate my thoughts and put my mind in a good direction and in a positive way too.
