AADYA BRAHMA created First Human couple -

Swaayambhoo Manu and SathaRoopa devi.

Devahoothi is a daughter of Manu and SathaRoopa.

Devahoothi was married to Kardama Prajaapathi ,

s/o Pithaamaha BRAHMA.

ANASOOYA DEVI is a daughter of Kardama-Devahoothi.

ANASOOYA was married to ATHRI MAHAA MUNI ,

s/o BRAHMA DEV.

ATHRI is AATHREYASA Gothra Kartha.

DOORVAASA MAHAA MUNI is a son of ATHRI-ANASOOYA.

DOORVAASA married KANDALI SAKTHI aka AURVI of

 

Bhrigu Lineage.

DOORVAASA - KANDALI had a son AATHREYA.

AATHREY's descendants are ARCHANAANA , SYAAVAASYA.

Their descendants settled at various places under the family names

- ATREY , DOORVAASULA etc.

One such family migrated to Palnadu area of Guntur District of

Andhra Pradesh State in South Bhaarath and settled in a

Village Prathipaadu and took the family name PRATHIPAATI

of AATHREYA GOTHRA with ThrayaaRushi Pravara

AATHREYASA, ARCHANAANASA , SYAAVAASYA,

AAPASTHAMBHA SOOTHRA ,

KRISHNA YAJURVEDA SAAKHAADHYAAYIS.

They are Vedic Pandits practicing : -

1. ADHYANAM - ADHYAAPANAM = Learning and Teaching;

2. YAJANAM - YAAJANAM = Doing and Presiding in Yajnams.

3. GRAHANAM - DAANAM = Receiving and Giving.

4. NITHYA AGNIHOTHRAM - THRI KAALA SANDHYAA VANDANAM

= Daily Fire Worship and Soorya Worship at Dawn , Noon , Dusk.

5. THARPANAM - THAPANAM = Ancestor Worship and Meditation.

 

One such Pandit was BRAHMA SRI PRATHIPAATI RAAMAYYA

and His wife is RaajyaLakshmamma. He was appointed as a

Raaja Guru , Aasthaana Pandit , Kula Purohith and Prime Minister

to Palnaadu Kings near Gurajaala on the banks of R.Naaguleru.

Sri P.Raamayya became " RAAMARAAJU " and that is how

RAMARAJU BRAHMIN FAMILY ORIGINATED.

We are all governed in performing our rituals by certain rules and

regulations and procedures ; these are called SOOTHRAS.

SOOTHRAAS are of various types : SMAARTHA SOOTHRAS , SRAUTHA SOOTHRAS ,

GRUHYA SOOTHRAS

and DHARMA SOOTHRAS .

AAPASTHAMBHA is one of those SOOTHRA KARTHAS along with BHODDHAAYANA ,

VIKHANASA ,

SAAMKHYAAYANA , AGNIVESYA , LAUGAAKSHI .

mOST OF tELUGU bRAHMINS BELONG TO VAISHAMPAAYANA KRISHNA YAJURVEDA SAAKHA

and AAPASYHAMBHA SOOTHRA.

2. ARGHYAM to SOORYA BHAGAWAAN is usually given at Sunrise and Sunset .

Tkae water with Both hands and turn towards Soorya Bhagawaan and leave the

water in a clean place chanting Gaayathri .
