Guest guest
Dear Devotees in TBP, Love and Love alone.... Read the sane words of Pujya Swami Sivananda. Reflect on the essence of these words and His pain behind these words. Is it not true that we doubt everything that we cannot perceive with our sense organs? The modern education has only helped ruining our age-old culture, customs, tradition, beliefs and broad-mindedness. And, now, we, especailly the present generation, are reaping the fruits of such uncalled for behaviour. Vedas are apaurusheyas, as we all know, but can we doubt them? God is not seen, can we doubt His existence? We cannot see our own soul or prana. Can we doubt our own existence? Where we are heading and what is the end result of this madness? Is it not painful to see these developments in the name of modernisation, globalisation, reasoning, etc. etc. Sad indeed. is it not? Muslim invaders ruled this country for several years, English businessmen ruled this country for nearly 200 years, but we still succeeded in preserving our own culture, but the idiot box (the socalled TV) has, so far, ruled India only for 20-odd years, but it has already ruined most of our culture. See the damage it has done. What is happening? How to end this slipping down and out? Can we do something about it? Every one of us has the responsibility. Please think and respond. May God Bless Us All. Hari Om. Love and Love alone.... P. Gopi Krishna ===== Ancient Standards and Modern Measures The age of the Upanishad was an age of intuitional perception. It was an age when intuitional experience was the guarantee of Truth. But the modern age is an age of questioning and criticism. Today the guarantee of truth is the test of sensual perception. That which man can perceive through his sense organs or know through his intellect, that he accepts as the reality. That which the senses cannot perceive he rejects as unreliable. Thus, many a precious factor in our ancient cultural heritage has been rejected and set aside as superstition.
