I received this mail from a different digest, which I am sharing with you all. See, the qualities that a Sadhaka should possess. Where we are? Let us keep comparing ourselves, without losing heart. Gopi Krishna ===== Question: Oh Lord, who deserves this most secret teaching ? One who possesses divine traits. Question: What are the marks of the person who possesses divine traits? Lord said - 1. Remain fearlessness depending on Me alone 2. Have a firm resolve within to attain Me 3. Maintain equanimity in all circumstances to know Me and my true essence (Truth, Reality) 4. Giving pure (sattvika form of) charity 5. Keeping all senses in complete control 6. Doing one's duty 7. Abiding in the principles of the sacred books and bringing them into your life 8. Bearing any hardships happily, with inner joy for the sake of one's duty 9. Straight-forwardnes s of body, mind and speech 10. Causing no difficulty in the least bit to anyone (Non-violence) through body, mind and speech 11. Truthfulness and geniality of speech 12. Absence of anger even on provocation by regarding everyone as My manifestation 13. Renunciation of desire 14. Tranquility of mind 15. Refraining from malicious gossip 16. Kindness and compassion to all creatures 17. Absence of attachment to the objects of sense even during their contact with the senses 18. Softness (mildness) of heart 19. Sense of shame in doing actions not sanctioned by the scriptures 20. Absence of ficklessness 21. Sublimity in body and speech 22. Forgiveness 23. Fortitude in all situations and circumstances 24. External Purity (of body) 25. Absence of Malice 26. Absence of Pride These are the marks of the person who possesses divine traits and he can be considered deserving My Devotion.
