MAREECHI. KASHYAPA'S Mother is KALA ( d/o Kardama Muni and Devahoothi )

KASHYAPA has a sister POORNIMA ( mother of all rivers ).

KASHYAPA had several wives - ADITHI , DITHI , KADRUVA , VINATHA , SIMHIKA ,

DANUVU , MUNI etc.

PRAJAAPATHI and PRASOOTHI.

KASHYAPA fathered Sun and Vaamana and devathas, Maruths , and a Brahmin

KAASYAPA ; THIS

KAASYAPA IS THE FOREFATHER OF KAASUYAPASA BRAHMINS.

KASHYAPA is the Guru of PARASURAAMA.

KASHYAPA had several sishyas and descendants - - - KAASYAPA , AVATSAARA ,

ASITHA , RAIBHYA and

SAANDILYA. Out of them Three famous Rishis are taken as Gothra Pravara -

KAASYAPASA ,

 

AVATHSAARA and ASITHA.

PRAVARA means one should rember a minimum of three ancestors; if one does

not know gothram and pravara

he or she can mention the most ancestor one can recollect as Gothra Karha

and Great Grandfather , Grand-

father and Father as Rishi Pravara . Pravara can be Vamsa Pravara that is

direct descendants or Sishya Pravara

that is famous sishyas of Gothra Kartha. So when you introduce yourself you

say that you are Thrayaa Rusheya Pravaraanvitha KAASYAPASA , AVTSAARA ,

ASITHA - KASHYAPA GOTHRA and your parents name.

 

So your Family lineage is BRAHMA - MAREECHI - KASHYAPA - KAASYAPA -

AVATSAARA - ASITHA and

Gudipadu is the place where your most ancestor settled down and acquired the

family name as GUDIPATI.
