Guest guest
Dear Devotees in TBP, Love and Love alone... Please read what Pujya Ramsukhdasji Maharaj is saying and think or contemplate over it for the week-end. Love and Love alone.... P. Gopi Krishna. ===== It is surprising that we desire that which really does not exist. We are afraid of that which even lacks existence. Happiness does not stay, but we hold on to it's desire. Pain does not stay, but we stick to it's fear. How unintelligent is this situation for us ! The desire for pleasure, manifests into fear of pain. The desire for living, creates the fear of death. If there is no desire, then neither pain nor the fear of pain shall exist, nor will there be fear of death. By getting rid of desires, one attains fulfillment. Nothing remains to be done, to be known and to be attained. Pleasure is not the cause of sins. But the desire for pleasure is the cause of sins. Sri Bhagavaan says - " It is desire, it is wrath begotten of the mode of Rajas, insatiable and grossly wicked, know this to be the enemy in this case. " (Gita 3:37) " Kaam esh krodh esh rajoguna samudbhavah; Mahashano Mahaapaapmaa vidhyenmiha vairinam. " The desire for pleasure is the gateway to hell. (Gita 16:21). Interestingly, all are independent and free to relinquish desires. One needs no practice to leave desires. It only requires a discriminating attitude, which is already existing in the present. But we do not want to do that which we are independent and free to do, and instead want to do (hold on to desires), that which we are neither free or capable of doing. What a big mistake this is? This mistake is the cause of all sins, grief, hell and more. All of this (i.e. Aspiring for that which does not exist or desiring the elimination of it), is due to our association with the unreal. The key is to be indifferent to these, and instead look at the fundamental existential basis, rather than the state (condition) and that is association with the Truth, the Reality.
