Aneka Namaskaramulu, Due to my ill health, I could not see the

messages for the past few days. I have gone through all the messages of

our friends and enjoyed the morale, ethic and literacy. While doing so,

I observed an interesting small subject, on which there are already

exchange of views. With my little knowledge, I would like to bring the

following to your kind notice:- The subject is INDIVIDUAL EGO It has

been stated that there are six enemies to the soul i.e.Kama, Krodha,

Lobha, Moha, Mada,Matsarya which are called as Ego or Ahankara. It is

not so. These are called arishad -vargas, which are inherited by birth.

One, who conquers these, will reach the stage of a saint and become

eligible to enter Sanyasasrama. As per Hindu Mythology, Gruhastasrama is

considered to be superior to Sanyasasrama, since one and all will have

to undergo many difficulties in leading the life while swimming in

samsara sagara. In these difficulties one should cultivate Bhakti, the

way to reach God. In fulfilling the gruhastasrama dharma one cannot

conquer the first and fore most of arishadwargas ie. Kama . There is a

saying that " kamikanivaru - Mokshakamulu karu. " . It does not

mean that the shadvargas are to be followed, but the same should be

conquered. Our beloved, learned and godly minded friend has pointed

out the Preaching's of Sri Adi Sankaracharya " Punarapijanane -

Punarapimaranam " . What a great quotation! The soul has to take a

series of births after deaths for which the first and foremost

Arishadvarga i.e Kama , plays a big role. Ego or Ahankara has no

relevance with the Shadvargas. In fact Aham is called BRAMHA in our

Hinduism. It means, every soul is Bramha and therefore, we should

develop EKATHVA out of Binnathathva. The titles of Dr., Prof. etc

which are prefixed to a name are conferred on them by some esteemed

Institutions in Convocations. If any person prefixes such degree to the

name without acquiring the said qualifications, it should be termed as

" Durahankara " . A typical comparison of Compounders and

Sweepers to those literates is not correct. These are Varnasrama

Dharmas as per our Hindu Dharma Sastra. As per Manudharma sastra the

Chatur varnas and their branches and sub-branches are created as per the

duty allotments and not by any other means. So every duty is important

to the society. All most all of us will be travelling in trains and

air-planes duly reserving the seats/births. While filling up the

applications for reservation the ticket issuing authorities are

insisting/requesting the persons to categorically mention if they are

Doctors. Why? Will it amounts to Ego? NO. It is because to notify that a

Doctor is travelling in the train/plane whose services can be obtained

by the co-passengers in case of any emergency. It is my earnest appeal

that let us not discourage the literacy when we are desirous to know

some Sanathana dharma from literates. One more simple thing I observed

is regarding Visas . No doubt. One member has sent a message giving his

mobile number and asking to contact him for Visas for United States of

America . Immediately he has been instructed not to make the group as a

business platform and the member should have definitely understood his

mistake by keeping silence. This is about three to four weeks back. But

still some members are pointing out the same. It amounts to hurting a

person. Let us forgive the mistakes once for all. The forgiveness is

Godliness. O.K. Let us think on the other side, that the member would

have innocently thought that he is volunteering to help the persons for

obtaining Visas. Then it will not amount to business. It amounts to

service. So let us have a wide thinking and avoid pinning of persons.

I hope my sentiment is clear and acceptable to everybody. In case, any

of you feels it wrong, I request to forgive me. If you feel that this is

not acceptable, the same can be ignored. Praying the Almighty to

shower his blessings on one and all. With regards, Sastry.
