Guest guest
Dear Mohan Rao Garu, Love and Love alone..... Varnas have not been created by any individual. They have been there on the basis of division of labour and the same have been clearly elaborated and authenticated by the Lord in the sacred text Srimad Bhagavad Gita also. Chaaturvarnyam mayaa srishtam Gunakarma vibhaagasaha Tasya karthaaramapimaam Viddhya karthaaramavyayam Ch. IV, Sloka 13 Lord says: Oh Arjuna! the Chatur Varnaas have been created by me on the basis of Guna-karmas and they are Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vysya and Shudra. Though I am the Creator, Ishwara and Immortal, please remember that, in fact, I am not the doer and I am not in any of them. If you read Purushasooktam, It says: " Brahmanosya mukhamaaseeth Baahu rajanya krithaha Ooru tadasya yadvysyaha Padbhyaagum Shudro ajaayata. This is the roopa-kalpana of the Creator - the Viraat Purusha. From his mouth came Brahmanas, from arms, came Kshatriyas and from thighs came vysha and from the feet came shudra. Now the point is, which varna is the most important one. The problem arises only when there is competiton or comparison. In the human body, each organ has its own importance. One cannot say that only a part is important compared to other parts. Like wise, in a society, each varna has its own importance and only when all they put together, the society works at its best. But, unfortunately, we have now divided ourselves into castes and subcastes, religions and subreligions, states, districts, villages, etc. and fighting amongst ourselves. All these problems are because of this one reason only and the politicians are taking advantage of this division amongst us. We are becoming pawns in their hands and in a way we are solely responsible for the present sad state of affirs of this great country. Let us put our heads together and think and try to find a solution. Let us resolve to create a caste-less society in the near future for overall growth of this great and ancient land. Any way, apart from the accident of birth, what is the basis of these varNas? I am eager to be enlightened. Regards! - mOhana
