AATHREYA - AGASTHYA & SHIVA BHAKTHI

 

AGASTHYA is a great Shiva Bhaktha. He is a Permanent

 

resident of Kaashi. In previous life AGASTHYA is named

 

Dahara Paulasthya . In next Janma AGASTHYA was born

 

to MithraaVaruNa and Oorvasi as a twin of Vasishtta., and

 

came to be known as AGASTHYA MAITHRAA-VARUNA,

 

and an Aurvaseeya. AGASTHYA married a Princess ,

 

Lopaamudra and both are an ideal couple living in Kaashi.

 

AGASTHYA's Sishya Vindhya became so arrogant and

 

grew too big for his boots, such that AGASTHYA had to

 

voluntarily self exile Himself from Kaashi and cross over to

 

South Bhaarath ; while crossing Vindhya , AGASTHYA

 

asked Vindhya to keep his head down and not obstruct the

 

path of Soorya till His return back to Kaashi , but AGASTHYA

 

never retutned back and Vindhya forever is in a subdued

 

position of prostration . AGASTHYA is the Father of Tamil

 

and now is a permanent resident of Tamil Naadu. AGASTHYA

 

visited Kolhaapoor Lakshmi , Draakshaaraama Shiva in AP.

 

AGASTHYA drank all the Oceans to expose Daanavas ,

 

digested Vaathapi , brother of Ilvala - Vaathaapi JeerNam.

 

AGASTHYA taught Aadithya Hrudayam to Raama and helped

 

Raama in killing RaavaNa Paulasthya. AGASTHYA is the

 

Founder of Siddha System of Aayurvedic Medicine.
