The truth is that when one realizes the true nature of this world,

God (Self) Realization happens automatically. Even though we

understand what is being said here, yet why does this not truly sink

in? The reason this does not sink in, is because there is desire to

seek happiness from the world. As long as there is desire and greed

to gain happiness from the world, till that time, any amount of

hearing, repeating that the world is temporary, destructible and

unreal, it will still not appear that way.

 

A large black bee, drills a hole in the bamboo and lives there. Even

though the bamboo is so hard and impenetrable, the bees strong teeth

are capable of drilling through the bamboo. However when the bee sits

inside a lotus, and at night time when the lotus folds and closes

it's leaves, the bee does not drill through the leaves. It thinks

that at day break, after sunrise when the lotus blooms and opens its

leaves, it will fly away. The same bee that is capable of drilling

the tough bamboo, is unable to drill through the soft lotus leaves.

Why? Has the bee become that weak ? The reason the bee has become so

weak, is because it is enjoying feasting on the nectar inside the

lotus flower, and therefore the bee becomes weak.

 

Similarly man seeks pleasures and enjoyments from the world, which

make him weak. There is a saying that in front of a lady, he becomes

unstable and behaves like her slave. Similarly in front of this world

that appears as beautiful as a lady, one becomes unsteady and weak.

So what is this unstable behavior, this immaturity? Seeking enjoyment

from the world itself is immaturity. One has to remove this weakness.
