VOICE OF THE RISHIS - 23

" AANO BHADRAH KRTAVOYANTU VISWATAH "

" Let all noble thoughts come from all sides " is the

greatest vedic saying indicating the universal concept of the

ancient vedas. Strangely they are free from the fissiparious or

regional thinking but always laid emphasis on universal thoughts.

This lofty vedic saying envisages that noble thoughts from every

corner of the world should be allowed to influence us and be

accepted without any reservations of the regions of the world, which

they emanate from. How glorious and global this concept is,

striking at the very root of the regional prejudices which the world

now suffers from, with its deeplaid fanaticism, fundamentalism and

bigotry!

If one believes in the Lord, as the Creator of the

Universe, one cannot stick to a particular piece of the universe, as

the holiest of all and look down on others. All sides of the

cosmos, all people of varied colours, of innumerable ethnic origins,

weave into one global or universal concept in this great universal

saying " AANO BHADRAH KRTAVOYANTU VISWATAH " . Let noble thoughts come

from all sides of the world. This is the widest, healthiest concept

bringing fresh breez into this unfortunate murky divided world.

This also forms the logo of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai.
