Vedic Rushis are Scientists , Physicians , Philosophers , Bhakthas of their Ishtta Daivathas ,Ritualists and Greatest Humanitarians. VEDIC RUSHIS walked on this Earth in the First Sathya Yugam aka Krutha Yugam long before this land is known as Bharath Varsh and even long before it is known as Aja Naabha Varsham and Jamboo Dweepam. They lived eons ago in days long gone by but their memory is fresh. I personally do not use the term Mythology as I dont think they are myths and I beleive Vedic Rushis are real people and whatever they did and whatever they said it is for the benefit of humanity. I am sure even in those days there are people who made fun of their qualifications and even some might have considered them unscientific, persons who told them to refrain from what they were doing , rulers who tried to interfere with what Rushis are doing and they had the freedom to express their views. and equally Vedic Rushis also were no t afraid to carry on their work in a peaceful way. Om Shaanthi. All Vedic Rushis interpreted Vedic knowledge and passed on their treatises by word of mouth to their descendants and Sishyas as SMRUTHIS, SOOTHRAS and SAMHITHAS. Om Vedic Rushibhyo Namo Namaha. KASHYAP is known as KASHYAPA BRAHMA as He is the Paternal Grandson of BRAHMA. KASHYAP is also known as KASHYAPA PRAJAAPATHI , since He followed the mandate of BRAHMA and embarked on Prajaa Srushtti. This Prajaa Srushtti is known as KASHYAPA SRUSHTTI on the similar lines as VISVAAMITHRA SRUSHTTI ; VISVAAMITHRA = Friend of Universe . KASHYAPA is a bahu kutumbeeki , meaning one who had several wives ( 13 ) and Fathered many children - Best , Good , Bad , Ugly and Worst ; in those days Polygamy is allowed and the main and only purpose is to Populate the Mother Earth and not any personal gratification ; purpose of marriage is only procreation - it is a Puthra Kameshtti Yajnam. Om Sahanaa Vavathu. Incidentally Mother Earth is also known as KAASHYAPI ; PARASHU RAAM raided the despotic rulers of the world 21 times , conquered the whole Earth and then went to HIS GURU KASHYAP to seek Guru's advise. GURU KASHYAP advised PARASHURAAM to give up all the conquered land to HIM and throw away Parasu(axe); PARASHURAAM threw away HIS axe which fell in Sea and created present KERALA ( GOD'S OWN COUNTRY ) retired to Mahendra Hill in KeraLa where HE is meditating even today .PARASHURAAM is a chiranjeevi.Namasthe. KASHYAP is the only son of RUSHI MAREECHI BRAHMA and KALA DEVI. KASHYAP had only one younger sister POORNIMA , mother of all rivers. In course of Time KASHYAP married 13 girls all daughters of DAKSHA PRAJAAPATHI and PRASOOTHI. All the sisters are very noble ladies but some of their children are not, as is the case - There Are No Bad Mothers , only some good and some bad children . KASHYAP , His Wives and their children : 1. KASHYAP + ADITHI - Indra, 12 (Dwaadasa) Aadithyas , VaruNa Dev, 13 Devathas. and Bhagavan VAAMANA VATU . Om Namasthe. 2. KASHYAP + DITHI - Daithyas - HiraNyaKasipa and HiraNyaaksha etc. 3. KASHYAP + DANUVU -40 DAANAVAS - Viprachitthi , Sambara etc. 4. KASHYAP + VINATHA - VAINATHEYAS - Anoora ( AruNa ) - Soorya's Charioteer and Garuda - Vishnu's own Personal Chauffeur and Vaahan. 5. KASHYAP + KADRUVA - 1000 Naagas - Seshu, Vaasuki, Thakshak, KaaLeeya etc. 6. KASHYAP + ANAAYU - 4 Vasus , Siddhas , Saadhyas 7. KASHYAP + SIMHIKA - Raahu ( and Kethu ) 8. KASHYAP + KAALA - 8 Sons of bad qualities . 9. KASHYAP + MUNI - 27 Gandharvas and some Maanavas (Humans). 10.KASHYAP+ KAPILA - GO GaNam ( Kapila Govulu ) 11.KASHYAP+ PRADHA - Meenaka , Ghruthaachi etc 25 Apsaras . 12.KASHYAP+KRODHA - some short temperd guys. 13.KASHYAP+KROORA - some intolerant guys. Krodha and Kroora got those names because of thei children , but they are good mothers. KASHYAP is an ideal Father , never interfered with His children , ready to give Advice when asked for and equally loved all His Children , good and bad. Om Shaanthi. KASHYAP is an embodiment of all noble qualities - Samam, Damam, Sahanam, Ahimsa, Sathyam, Saucham, Nigraham, Daya . KASHYAPA is a Tapassvi Saanthamoorthy. KASHYAP is like a drop of water on a Lotus leaf , completely detached and at peace with Himself. All His 13 wives respected him and in turn KASHYAP treated them all with equal love and affection devoid of any prejudice , fear or fervor and any malice to any. KASHYAP is a very great VISHNU BHAKTHA ; He and Adithi were Blessed Thrice by VISHNU born to them -1. as VAAMANA in Sathya Yugam , 2. as RAAMA in Threthaa Yug and 3. as KRISHNA in 28 th Dwaapara Yugam . Om Namo NaaraayaNa , Vaasudeva . In spite of all my degrees ( I could not help it as I have spent 72 years of my life in pursuit ) and I am still seeking knowledge as I am a lifelong student, all the above information is in the public domain -Vedas,PuraaNas. I have heard them from my parents,gurus,elders-SRUTHI; I remembered what I Heard at the feet of above sages ( Upa = at the feet of ) - SMRUTHI; I read from Sacred Books - PATTATHI and now writing as an email - LIKHATHI I am agreat Beleiver in Our SANAATHANA , SCIENTIFIC, VEDIC , RUSHI DHARMA as A TRUE DHARMA ; but two things I am not is 1. I am not a Bhaktha as I know very little about Bhakthi and 2. I am not a VEDIC ASTROLOGER , but only a student at KG level. OM SAHANAA VAVATHU,THEJASVINAAM AVADHEETHAM ASTHU MAAVIDVISHAAVAHAI.
