Guest guest Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 SRI MAATRE NAMAHA " KULADEVI VALLELAAMBAA PARAASAKTI PHALAPRADA BHASWATI MAMA JIHWARA RANGE NRUTYATU BHARATI " There was a great poet, famous writer, Yogi and well acquinted person with several sastras named as Shri Alukur Mallikarjuna Sastry during the period from 1871 A.D. to 1971 A.D. He belongs to Alukur village in Raichur District of Karnataka in south India. Sri Venkatarama sastry and Subbamamaba were the parents of this great person. He learnd Natakanta Sahityam,Sidhhanta Kowmudi with Tatwabodhinee vyakhya, Nyaya Sastra and Vedanata from his father. He went to Gadwal, Vanaparti and Atmakur Samsthanas along with his faather and pleased the scholers of those samsthanas and got a title as 'Bharati balaaleelaa Rupa' in his very young age. After expiry of his father he went To Sri Kalahasti in Chittor district and learnd Mahabhashyanta Vyakaranam and Muhurta, Jataka, and Sidhhanta rupa Jyotisha Sastra. There he wrote a book named as 'KHACHARA MANI PETI' a ten thousand year calender from the begining of Kaliyuga, and presented the same to his beloved guruji of Sri Kalahasti. By this calender any one can easly know the Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana with Ghatika and vighatika pramana of any particuler day in those ten thousand years. He was a worshipper of Goddess Vallelaamba ( another form of Godeess Saraswati) located at Kodumur Village in Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh. After comleating his education at the age of 20 years he started to do 'Satavadhanas' which is a special art in literature and possible for telugu speaking people only. He was honoured with the titles of 'Kavita Sarwabhowma' and 'Sakala Sastrabhigna' He wrote 'JYOTISSASTRA SUDHARMA SARA' and presented the same to HIS Holiness Sri Nrusimha Bharati Swamiji of Sringeri, while shri Swamiji performing SANKARA PRATISHTA at KALADI the birth place of Sri AADISANKARACHARYA. The Swamiji is pleased with the work of our sastriji and honoured him with the title of PANDITA SARWABHOWMA. Once our sastriji want to perform SATRA YAGA which shall be performed continuasly for one year. But he is not having sufficient money for it as he is a land lord of five acers of dry land only. He is not interested in raising funds for the yaga as he is having APRATIGRAHA VRATA (not to recieve single pai from any one for any cause). Then a deciple of him raised the question about funds for yaga. Our sastriji ordered him to put a big iron rod duly burnt red.Even though or sastriji is an orthadox brahmin he poured his urine duly walking by the side of iron rod. After washing the iron rod became gold and it was spent for the satra yaga. Shri Mallikarjuna sastry wrote another two books also in sanskrit 1.Shri Vasudevanandaha := An Alankara Sastra praising lord Vishnu which includes the following 'BANDHA " 1.Ratha bandhaha 2.Chakra bandhaha. 3.Chakra bandhaa paadabhyasa yamamacha 4.Dasavidhanyasa mukta chakra bandhaha 5.Guchhabandha 6.Gopura bandhaha 7.Naga bandhaha 8.Astadala padma bandhaha 9.Shodasa dla padma bandhaha 10.Gomutrika bandhaha 1 and 2 11.Pushpa maalikaa bandhaha 12.Kulala chakra bandhaha 13.Ardha bhrma bandhaha 14.Sarwatobhadra bandha or tryaksharam purna bhrama bandhaha 15.Panchakshara bandhaha 16.Muktaa guchha bandhaha 17.Aanodilikaa bandhaha 18.Chaamara bandhaha 19.Chaamara bandhaha - 2 20.Chathra bandhaha 21.Sarovara bandhaha 22.Chaturasra chakra bandhaha kulaala bandhascha 23.Shri Brahmamandala bandhaha ( new ) 24.Asthamukha naga bandaha 25.Turanga bandhaha. 26.Garudagati chakra bandhaha 27.Kankana bandhaha 28.Koshtaka bandhaha 29.Ahtottara sahasra dala padma bandhaha We may find all the above 'Bandhas' in the Sri Vasudevananda' along with all other 'Alankara' which are specified in Sansktit grammar. Especially we may not see the 'Asthtottara sahasra dala padma banhdaha 'in any other book . In this Bandha there shall be 1008 chambers in the form of lotus. There shall be 1008 words in each and every chamber. Any reader may start at any chamber at his will and compleate a round he shall found a compleate sloka. A learned person in sanskrit grammar can understand the hard work of our sastriji as it contains full of wonders in sanskrit grammaer. Our sastriji was also wrote Shri PAURUSHOTTAMA SATAKAM in sanskrit which praises Lord Vishnu which shall be introduced in due cource. Our Shastriji was a yogi and mantravetta also. He was in a babbit of entering into the Bhavasamaadhi for days long until he was disturbed by some one with Pranava nada. Several persons were approched him for 'mantrdaka' sacred water to cure their ailments.Due to the fear of time wastage our sastriji turned a well water as 'matrodaka'and asked them to take sacred water from that well itself.
