Question: Can one ask a Saint about their experiences and

realizations (anubhav) or not?

Answer: On the subject of spirituality, to ask anyone about their

divine experiences or to share with them your personal divine

experiences is not a good idea. Even in worldly matters, to ask

someone, how much money you have in the bank, would be considered

outright inappropriate. Even such mundabe things are not to be

queried or shared, then is God more ordinary than even money?

Second point, the one who asks a Saint about their divine

experiences, in that one there remains some lack of faith for that

Saint. If there was lack of faith or trust, if there was no doubt

what so ever, then why would one ask at all ? If the Saint's reply

indicates that Yes he has experience of God Realization, then the

recepient will have doubt about his conceit and arrogance in sharing

this, and if the Saint says he has had no experience of God

Realization, it will lead to nothing but further lack of faith in the

Saint. By asking about personal realizations, the one asking is

harmed.

Third point, in the eyes of a God Realized Soul, no one is without

knowledge. Rather in their eyes, there is no difference between a

knowledgable and an ignorant person. In their eyes, all potentially

possess knowledge, yet all do not understand this. Everyone has had

the realization " I am " , that I exist, but erroneously they associate

that existence with the body. In reality, it is not that knowledge is

gained, but ignorance that is wiped out. Knowledge is ever present.

Therefore on attaining realization, one does not feel that before I

did not have this knowledge. On attaining realization, one feels that

this knowledge was naturally ever present from the very beginning. It

is not something new.
