Guest guest
God is everywhere. There is no place where He is is not present. We are situated in Him wherever we are. Therefore, wherever we are, let us be established in Him and then be silent. Doing is bondage, but until we are unable to be silent (not do), we must do a lot. By doing [spiritual practice], the power of not doing is attained. Chant His name, do satsang (association with truth), read scriptures etc. As a bird first flaps its wings to fly but then stops moving its wings. Attainment of God is a state of Supreme Repose. Let us be attached to Him in whatever way that we can, until we reach silence. Thoughts also bind us to prakriti (nature). God is not realised by nature but is realised by breaking our affinity with nature. Action and dependence on other is in nature. By doing we become situate in nature and by not doing we are situate in God. Dependence on God (Bhakti - devotion) is the best. Through gradual practice let us attain tranquility, and become established in God, thinking of nothing else (Gita 6:25). The thoughts that come to our mind are due to our past impressions (sanskaar) which are going away. Do not get attached to them; rather simply become indifferent towards them. Be indifferent. No attachment or aversion, no relationship with anything or anyone. Like a traveller is indifferent to the many things that are lying on the roadway. His sight is on his destination. Thoughts are being destroyed. Actions begin and end, objects are created and destroyed. Remain equanimous in all activities and God is realized. Do not hurry. Slowly and steadily be indifferent - no thought - simply remain established in God. Think of neither Self nor God. We get tired in action, but realization is natural and effortless. No effort or practice is needed. Simply Silence, as God is present everywhere - completely and equally.
