Solution to Breaking Away From Dependency

Dependency is not liked by anyone. A dependent man does not gain

happiness even in his sleep - " Paraadheen, swapnehu sukh naahi, "

(Manasa 1:102:3). Inspite of this, man desires happiness from

another, he desires honor and respect from another, he desires praise

from another, he desires to gain from another - it is such an

astonishing thing !

The one who desires pleasure from a thing, a person, a situation, an

incident, a certain state, leisure and comfort, gaining from another,

he will have to become dependent on that other. He cannot escape it,

who ever or whatever that may be. The one who desires anything from

anybody or anything, will with certainty become dependent.

The one who desires God, does not become dependent; because God is

not separate from him. This embodied soul (Self, Consciousness) is

geniunely a part (ansh) of God. But if we desire anything other than

God, we will become dependent; because other than God there is

nothing else that is ours. IT is only on not desiring anything else

that desire for God is awakened.

If there is a want, it signifies and substantiates a need within.

Rather why are you buying this poverty striken feeling within for

free? If you are intent on becoming happy, then do not seek happiness

from others.
