Guest guest
It is a mere illusion, a falacy, that we cannot live without the shelter of the world or the shelter of someone. In deep sleep, whose support and shelter are we under? There is dependency on no one, not even God. In this state, we are released from the dependency on the world, yet the shelter of ignorance remains. Please kindly pay attention to this point of great importance. We do not get as much pleasure, happiness and strength from the world. as we get during sleep. This happiness, this strength, the burst of new energy to work, the feeling of freshness that we get from giving up the shelter and support of the world in sleep, far exceeds any pleasure and strength received from the world. Rather shelter of the world (family, wealth, intellect, ability, youth etc) exhausts our energy, creates anxiety, tiredness, restlessness, and ultimately leaving us often exhausted we go to sleep. During sleep, there is this renewed source of energy, power which effortlessly surges and renews us once again. Similarly giving up of the shelter of the world, one is immensely refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated. We receive great strength. Boundless strength and energy can be gained from taking refuge in God. There is no measure or limits to this. Fear, worries etc. will completely disappear. For this it has been said in the Gita - " Yam labdhvaa chaaparam laabham manyate naadhikam tatah. " (Gita 6:22). There has been no greater or higher gain than this, nor is there, nor can there ever be a greater gain than this. But this is possible, only on giving up the dependency on the ephemeral and perishable shelters of the world.
