Guest guest
" Goswamiji Tulsidas says - " Prem bhagati jal binu Raghurayi. Abhiantar mal kabahu ne jayi. " (Manasa, Uttar, 49:3) " Even so, except by cleansing with the water of loving devotion (bhakti), O Lord, the impurity accumulated within, can never be washed away. " On complete non-existence of the ego, there is no separation between the worshipper and the worshipped. Only " Vasudeva Sarvam " " All is God " remains. Illusion or error can be of two kinds. One type has specific characteristics and the other type is without characteristics. Just like in a mirror the reflection of a face is an error that has specific characteristics; because the face is not in the mirror. But due to the characteristics of the mirror, even on realizing and correcting the error, one will continue to see the face in the mirror. On the other hand, a rope seen as a snake is an illusion without characteristics; as it is not a snake in the first place. When one realizes this error, then there after the snake is not seen. Only the rope is seen. When on attains knowledge (Jnana), the error that has specific characteristics, is removed; i.e. even though the world is seen, the attraction for the world ends. But in " Devotion " (Bhakti), the error without characteristics is also removed; i.e. the World is not seen, only God is seen. " Vasudeva Sarvam " . Therefore with reference to Jnanis, God has acknowledged the Devotee (Bhakta) to be Supreme - " Mayya vaishya mano yeh maam, nitya yuktaa upaasate; Shraddhayaa parayopetaaste mein yuktatamaa mataah. " (Gita 12:2) " Those who, fixing their mind on Me, worship Me ever steadfast and are endowed with Supreme faith, are the most perfect Yogis in My opinion. " (Gita 12:2)
