Guest guest
SRI MAATRE NAMAHA There are two 'CHINTAMANIS' in the universe. One is a jewel which is under control of the King oF Gods 'MAHAENDRA'. This jewl is capable to fulfil any desire. And the other is a MANTRA named as CHINTAMANI which is also capable to fulfil any desire of the striver. Some elder persons were also says that the throne of Mahendra the king of Gods is also CHINTAMANI PEETHAM which is capable to fulfil the desire of king who sit on it. A story about Chintamani mantra is an interesting one. The great poet Sri Harsha was a boy of eight years when he worshipped the Chintamani mantra. After that he became a great poet. No one was capable to beat beat him in his field during those period. Sri Harsha father was also a great scholer. Once he went to a neighbour country to meet the scholers of that country and to gain victory over them in SASTRA CHARCHA (detailed discussion on sastras). There was a rule in that sastra charcha. The defeated scholer should become a slave to the winner in that sastra charcha. Due to bad luck Sri Harsha father was defeated in that sastra charcha and became a slave to the winner and he was held up there. Sri Harsha's mother was a clever lady. She was not digested the news about her husband slavery to some one in other country. She knowes the CHANTAMANI mantra and its wonderfull effects, but she was helpless. She is not capable to perform the 'Mantra japa' of Chintamani as she is a lady. According to rule of that mantra no lady is fit to do so. The mantra japa should be performed duly sitting on a dead body. After deep thinking she called her son and intiated him with that powerful mantra. She was told to him to sit on him and to perform the mantra japa. She was also told to him about the next action when the Goddess apperead before him. She was laid down and became dead duly cutting her throat with sharp instrument. Sri Harsha not known about this. He simply sat down on her mother's body and started mantra japa. The Goddess of Chintamani mantra appeared before this small boy and asked about his wish. Sri Harsha simply said that he will ask boon form Her only after his talks with his mother. As such the Goddess gave live to Sri Harsha mother. After that the Goddess made him a great scholer according to his wish and disapppererd. Sri Harsha and his mother went to the neighbouring country where his father was spending his life as a slave. Sri Harsha met the scholer and invited him for sastra charcha who was deferated his father previously. Even though he was a small boy Sri Harsha got victory in that sastra charcha with his vast knoledge given by thef Goddess of Chintamani His father became freed. He returned to his country with his parents and a great victory. After returning to his mother land he wrote a great 'Kavyam' named as 'NAISHADHAM ' which is also having special importence. That story shall be discussed shortly.
