Guest guest
Why do you become a Slave to that which Comes and Goes? Considering those things that are produced and later destroyed to be in you, and feeling superior or inferior, is a grave mistake. Just like one who on possessing wealth considers himself to be superior, another sees himself as superior from living in a big house, another feels he is great from wearing fancy and expensive clothes, another expresses superiority from receiving a big promotion, while another on not receiving these things believes himself to be inferior, all of this is a big mistake. You are yourself a part of God, pure consciousness, but taking inert matters to be you, you consider yourself to be either superior or inferior - this is your baseness. Taking inert things and considering yourself superior is also base, and considering yourself to be inferior is also base. You are the one amassing these things, and utilizing these things. You are the one to know it's beginning and end, then why do you become a slave to them? Wealth is acquired and later departs - in this manner considering yourself to be superior or inferior, on either attaining or separating, for that whose beginning and end is known, is such a mistake. With a little thought, this point will become clear that if we have become superior on receiving a promotion than in reality we have remained small, it is the position or post that has become big. On receiving money if we have become big, then it is the money that has become big, not us. If this point is understood today, at this very moment, then we will not consider ourselves to be superior or inferior, based on the things that come and go.
