We always think of ourselves and neglect others. The husband always

thinks what his wife should do for him and vice versa. Why don’t we

instead think of what we can do for others? If we can then will bring

about universal benefit. When we learn to live for others, they too

do things for us.

Never think what you will get out of it. You shall definitely get

something from the Almighty. He has promised, " Maameva Praapnuvanti. "

You shall reach Him and that will bring eternal joy. A life filled

with joy and peace means the presence of God within you.

On the contrary we opt for a losing bargain. We exchange peace for

money and lose calm over physical comforts. Then we question our own

foolishness, " I have every thing but there is no peace. Why? " Who

stops us if we want Peace? In reality we act as if we do not need

peace. The path to peace is very simple. The Lord, Shri Krishna has

given us three words for the same, " Saiyama, Samata, Seva, " meaning,

discipline, balance, and service.

If the quest for peace starts with love, one surely reaches one's

destination. In that case love, sympathy, and generosity replace

lust, anger, and greed. There is no doubt that the individual earns

the blessings of God if he learns to live for others. The Lord, Shri

Krishna has declared in Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta:

“Sannyamendryagraamam sarvatra sambuddhyaah

Te praapnuvanti maameva sarvabhootahiterataahâ€

Those, who have disciplined their senses, remain balanced in

intellect always, and keep busy with the benefit of all creatures,

certainly reach me.

Now it is for us to decide our course. Do we want to enter a losing

bargain? Love is such a wealth that increases if you distribute.

Lust, etc. the enemies within, shall be annihilated when we are

blessed by the Lord with love, openness and generosity in our life.

Peace shall automatically follow and life shall be filled with joy

and Godliness.
