Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS: 54 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARADHANA RAO DAIVAM SAMAJA ROOPENA " God shows himself in the form of Society " This saying lays before the man the importance of community life and community welfare. Man should feel obliged to his Community, for the several benefits he enjoys bestowed by his society. Man is essentially a social being. And animals and other living beings also, live in groups and clusters. It is beholden duty of every man to take care of his community, to work for its welfare and contribute his share of service, in the way, he prefers. And in the end should feel " I have served my society well, as I have been served " . To the ancient kings and rulers, this service proved to be the first ideal of its kind. The ideal example is that of Sri Rama who lived not for himself but for the welfare of his people. Rulers who understood their people or who saw God in them, thrived well and earned great name for themselves. One significant feature of this Vedic Text is that even in the ancient Vedic ages, man is advised about the importance of the community, as the latter helps his existence in various ways. Man cannot live in isolation. He is but a product of his society, however lonely he may live on.
