Each session will have 5 to 10 minutes of Question & Answers.

 

 

In the first session (conducted by Shri Pramod Kumar) the participants will

learn about the indigenious Education system in Pre British India as given by

British colonial records. Participants will learn whether that education system

was available to all communities & was it relevant to its time. In the second

session participants will learn & practice meditation techniques for

concentration & learning. Third session will focus on the relevance of Indian

scriptures in present education scenario.

 

Objective of the program: To disseminate knowledge to youth, teachers and

interested people so that practical applications of Indian traditions for

Education are imbibed & practiced.

 

Target Audience: Teachers, Students from 9th Standard onwards, College

Students,

lecturers, Professors & any one interested in

this topic.

 

Speakers Profile:

Shri R.Rangan is a spiritual guide and a Vedic scholar with in depth knowledge

of Vedas, Vedic Sanskrit, Upanishads, Ramayana, Yoga, etc. He has authored

books on Vedas, Ramayana and Yoga. He heads an organisation called Web of Life

Makers which spreads the ideals of Vedas and Ramayana. Presently he is a

consultant to Vivekananda Yoga University in Bangalore. He has been a prolific

speaker and has given lectures in places like Jawaharlal Nehru University, New

Delhi , Vedic Conferences in Rishikesh, Bangalore, and in countries like Kuwait,

Singapore.

 

 

Shri M. Pramod Kumar did his B.Tech from IIT Madras and then worked in a

software MNC as a Systems Engineer. Then he started full time work on various

facets on Indian culture like a research scholar in ‘Mother’s Institute of

Research,’ an institute for studies on Indian Culture and History, Trustee and

National Coordinator of the International Forum for India ’s Heritage (IFIH).

Presently working as Faculty in Cultural Education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Deemed University, Coimbatore where he developed a unique Cultural Education

programme for undergraduate students of the School of Engineering and

postgraduate students of the School of Journalism . He is an award winning

orator and motivational speaker. Designed and implemented a nation-wide Survey

of school students on cultural content in school curriculum in India . The

Survey was approved by the National Council of Educational Research and Training

(NCERT) and received wide acclaim from educationists and thinkers.
